I create and sell ritual wands for pagan and wiccan practitioners. Each wand is hand turned and painted so every wand individual and unique, as can be seen in my showcase.
My spiritual family and I had been discussing the possibility of creating our own wands for some time. We thought that we should have a go at making some wands for ourselves, because there is little or no market for wands in Australia.
We did make some wands for ourselves, and we discovered it to be a most enriching quest indeed, and we have spent many hours in the creation and perfecting of our art.
We are constantly trying new things and always will as a new thing learned each day makes it a worth while day.
That is how it started and a love of the creation of something that is going to be loved and used by others on the same path as ourselves, will ensure that we continue to fill this need and continue to create as the wood feels.
Each of our wands are original and unique, because we allow the wood we are working with to tell us how it wishes to be shaped, therefore there will never be two exactly alike. Blessed be and thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little better.
The second step is to choose your basic colour scheme, ideally you should select three colours, being the base or main colour, a second colour, and lastly a colour for the trim and accents.
To assist you to choose a colour which will invoke the desired properties in your wand (and to make sure that we both understand the colour that you have chosen), please use the Eagle Spirit Ministry Colour Chart to select your colours.
The third step is to choose which elements, goddesses or deities, or other spiritual powers you would like your wand to invoke.
I can add any symbols or lettering that is requested as long as I have some thing to work from. I love to learn new things so I can add all to my knowledge base.
You will need to obtain a copy of the symbols that you want to use to invoke your chosen spiritual properties.
The final step is to send me an email specifying your chosen wand style, (A-L), your chosen colours, and the copies of the symbolism you would like incorporated when dressing (painting) your wand.
You should include any other information which you feel would help me to create your wand.
You may have an old wand that feels dead and needs new life, or you may have been 'gifted' a wand base from the universe, or I can work a piece that may have been a part of some furniture which has been in your family for years.
I can work just about any wood base as long as it is not split, which can crack and splinter. With that proviso in mind I can work any thing, which is a gift that I have discovered that I have and love doing. I will try any thing but some pieces do not want to be worked and will be happy as they are. Mostly the true shape is in the wood and 'wants out'.

I also make the stands which are used to display the wands in my showcase, and my shop. I use the upright stand because the wand then stands tip to earth and is grounded. I feel that too much energy is wasted with the 'laying down' style of stand.
My wand stands are made from plantation Maranti pine and are light weight, to make postage a little cheaper. I can make wand stands out of hard wood, but they are very heavy.
If you like, a matching wand and stand can be made incorporating the same colour scheme, and symbolism. Alternatively, I can make a stand for use with your own wand, if you provide me with your specifications and requirements.
I am a little bit of a traditionalist and I create traditional wooden runes using the Futhark symbols. I only use the twenty four traditional meanings, because there was no blank rune until it was made up in the early 1980's. However, I do include an unmarked Rune for use as a spare.
Based on the traditional wooden runes, I can paint the back of the runes to invoke the properties of your chosen colours, and I can add a symbol to invoke the power of elements or deities etc to meet your preference. You may even want a set of runes to match your wand, and invoke the same energy.

As well as the traditional runes, I make glass runes. I engrave the Futhark symbols onto the glass, and then rub smooth so no rough edges remain to endanger the user.
If you have a suitable piece of wood, such as an old table leg that has been in your family for several generations, or perhaps something from an alter used by your coven, or from a church pew, for example I can use it as the base material for a set of runes which will corporate the energy which has been retained by the base material. In fact, I can make the runes out of anything.
I can either round the runes off on the lathe, or keep them there original shape and just soften them so they have no sharp corners, and can be held and rubbed without worry.
