2004 Christmas Message

The vibration of Christmas is stronger this year. We have turned a corner and we are now faced with a hill to climb. Climbing the hill will not be easy, but climbing the hill is possible.

We need to put one foot in front of the other and keep putting one foot in front of the other, until we reach the top of the hill.

If we stop to congratulate ourselves on how far we have come, or if we stop to concern ourselves about how far we have to go, we will stumble and fall.

We do have one alternative to climbing the hill, and that is to remove the hill from our lives, because the hill that we must climb and overcome, is fear.

What has this got to do with Christmas? Hope.

Christmas, this Christmas in particular, is a season of hope.

We came very close to releasing our grip on fear, but we could not quite let fear go, which brings us to the point that we need to remember, fear does not have hold of us, we have hold of fear.

All that we need to do is release our grip on fear. If we release our grip on fear, we will free ourselves from the grip of fear.

It is our hope that has allowed us to turn the corner, and it is our hope, the promise of better future that has enabled the vibration of Christmas to become stronger this year than it has been in the two previous years.

A promise of the future is not a destination, but a signpost showing us the way. Our hope has shown us the way, which has allowed us to turn the corner, the promise of future has shown us the direction that we need to travel, but the camber of the hill that we must climb is our choice.

This Christmas we should grasp the gift of hope that has been offered to us. We should accept the gift of hope and we should pass that gift of hope onto all whom we encounter.

We should use our hope to create more hope, and expand the vibration of hope, not only this Christmas but into the new year and beyond.

Give and receive the gift of hope this Christmas, and accept the promise for the future.

Together our hope will give us the strength to release our grip on fear, and in so doing allow us to extract ourselves from the grip of fear.

Once again, as war rages I am drawn to conclude with the words of John Lenon…

Happy Christmas (War Is Over)

And so this is Christmas
And what have we done?
Another year over
And you've just begun

And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
Your near and your dear ones
Your old and your young

And so Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Christmas
The weak and the strong
The rich and the poor ones
Have waited so long

And so Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

So Merry Christmas
And Happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
W ithout any fear

War is over if you want it
War is over if you want it
War is over if you want it
War is over if you want it
