Have you ever noticed when you are walking outside on the night of a crescent moon that if you turn your head sideways that the moon seems to be smiling at you? It is just another one of the countless reminders all around us of God's love for us.

God's love for us is everywhere and in everything. The reminders of it are like a shower of joy that we get every time we walk outside our homes or look inside ourselves. They range from a little baby with joyous shining eyes smiling at you in a grocery store to a delightful chorus of birdsong greeting you when you go out to get a morning paper to a beautiful sunrise and glorious sunset to start and end each day.

They vary from a loving hug from a happy child to a soul touching passage from a book to a glorious piece of music that uplifts your heart on angel wings. They differ from a crystal snowfall on the first day of Winter to blooming flowers just outside your window to kind words that remind you that you are a Child of God and worthy of His love.

Why does God give us all these reminders of His love for us? Why does God shower us with so much goodness, love, joy, and delight? Perhaps it is because God wants us to be happy and share love as well. When you know just how much God loves you and when you see just how much joy accepting and sharing that love brings then finally all of your life makes sense and you want to share that love and joy with everyone everywhere.
