Analogies of Reality

Analogies of Reality

The Grape.

Consider a bunch of grapes. If that bunch is broken and distributed, the individual grapes are no longer attached, the individual grapes no longer form the whole bunch. However, each grape still contains a part of the stem which held the bunch of grapes together.

Each grape retains an essence of the bunch.

When each grape is consumed, we can still see the image of the bunch of grapes if we choose. Even though the grape is no longer a part of the bunch of grapes, the grape still retains the image of the bunch of grapes. However, if we do not choose to see the image of the bunch of grapes, all we will see is the individual grape.

Does the fact that some choose only to see the individual grape make the bunch of grapes any less real?

The whole truth will be put back together by individuals who will again begin to see the bunch when they consume the individual grape. We have all retained the image of the truth, and we only have to choose to see the truth.

Some grapes become wine. As we consume the wine we can choose to see only the wine, or we may see the grape, or the bunch of grapes, or even the vine.

Even though the grape has been removed from the bunch, and is now wine which on the surface bears no resemblance to the grape, or the bunch of grapes, the wine still retains the image of the wine's original form.

The truth is within us all. We can allow ourselves to once again see the bunch of grapes, and not just the individual grape. In time, we will again understand that the bunch of grapes comes from the vine, how the bunch of grapes is formed, and how the vine grows. However, first we need to understand and accept the existence of the bunch of grapes, when we only have an individual grape to look at.

If we do not accept the existence of the bunch of grapes, we cannot even begin to conceive the existence of the vine. The truth has been shattered externally, and it is only through drinking the wine, and seeing the bunch of grapes that the truth will be rediscovered.

There are many varieties of wines, all with a different flavour and often a different nature. Despite this the grape and the bunch of grapes can be seen when consuming any type of wine, if we choose to see either the grape or the bunch of grapes. The same principle applies to religions. All religions have become different through the process applied by man, and yet all originate from the same truth, so all retain the image of the truth.

The wine is only reality to those who elect not to see the bunch of grapes, or the vine. However, any of us can look at the various grapes around us, and in so doing reconstruct the bunch of grapes or the vine.

If we choose to see the vine as we consume the wine, we do not need to have the vine explained to us. However, if we choose only to see the wine, and to accept no reality beyond the wine, it is not possible to adequately explain the vine to us. We may choose to see the wine and the bottle from whence the wine came before the wine appeared in the glass, but this is a long way from the vine.

If we choose not to see or conceive the vine, to adequately explain the vine, we need to start with the wine, and explain the wine came from a bottle, which was once in a case with other bottles. We then need to extend our explanation to the barrel, and the press, to the grape, to the separation of the grapes from the stem, to the freshly picked basket of grapes, and to the bunch, to the pollen, to the flower and to the vine. We then need to explain that the vine began as a singular seed, and that the vine grew and continually expanded from that singular seed, and so it is when we are ready to understand reality.
